My wife loves this spatula. High quality, low price.
Someone wrote that it's weak. Ridiculous unless you're
trying to use it as a pry bar.

5Nice construction, good value, works wellDec 24, 2010
By Comdet
I've been looking for a turner that will allow me to flip eggs without breaking the yokes. I have a couple of very nice stainless flippers, but I usually cook eggs in a nonstick pan, so I needed something that was nonstick-safe.

I tried a flexible silicon one, but was not happy with how much it flexed. I saw this and the price was right, so gave it a shot. Plus, it qualified for the Amazon 4 for 3 promo, which made the low price even better.

Very pleased! The front edge is sharp, so I can easily get under a fried egg without any yoke damage. The extra width comes in very helpful to keep eggs from falling off.

The handle is stainless and sturdy. It's not the most comfortable handle I've used, but it does not cause a problem either. Can't speak to longevity as of yet, but so far it's been a winner.

5if i *had* to pick just one....Jan 28, 2012

I actually have several turners/flippers/spatulas by Amco and if I had to pick only one this one would be it. It is really a great shape for doing everything from eggs, to pancakes, burgers - I really can't think of much it can't handle. The front edge is just right for getting under delicate things like crepes without *pushing* them, and sturdy enough to lift things up with no flopping or drooping back into the pan.

I've had this spatula five plus years and the nylon head hasn't melted; in fact, the edge still looks fairly new. Has a nice hole in the handle for hanging but this one lives in the crock right next to the stove with the "essentials".

Highly recommended.

5Fabulous for scraping fond from the skillet when deglazing the pan....Dec 11, 2011
By K. Mickleson
I'm about to replace this wide one with another, which I've had for years and it's finally developing a few nicks on the edge. Most who review these Amco spatulas rave about how wonderfully thin their edges are. I just want to add that as I say in my title, I always reach for this after browning meat or mushrooms or whatever, when I want to add liquid--wine, marsala, broth whatever--on high heat to scrape up the brown bits of fond on the skillet pan for the sauce. I use it 'upside down', so it flexes the edge a bit. Nothing works better.

I use this wide one in a 12" skillet, and have a narrower one for a 10" or smaller skillet for regular usage and fond scraping. SUPER!

I like the sturdiness of this spatula. Its construction and quality for an item under $6 is outstanding. It gets my recommendation.
