5If you cook, you need this tool.Sep 03, 2010
By Peter Cook
If you store newspapers in your oven, skip this tool. This is a tool for people who cook...make soups and sauces and real food.
Have you ever wanted to scoop out a few extra meat balls and leave the sauce behind? Have you prepared a soup and want to take
only the bones and excess veggies from the pot? Have you par boiled and wanted to remove the foods without the water?
Here's your tool. (Some in our kitchen say that it is designed for a left-handed person, but others have no problem.)

4great ladle... but...Sep 04, 2011
By RAB
Great ladle, strong, heavy will last forever, however, its capacity is huge 6.5 oz. so unless you are doing a lot of canning or cooking for a large group, it is probably overkill... also, the flat handle may have been able to have been designed better, due to the weight, it cuts into the sides of the fingers a little... it really needs some type of flexable soft grip on the handle... if you were going to use it for serving a large crowd that filed by in a line... you would need to wrap something around it... also, the angle of the picture does not give you the right image of the actual dimensions, it is more oval than the picture seems to show... however, great product... won't fall apart... but definitely not the ladle for a small pot holding just a few bowls of soup.

5Outstanding product, 10/10Nov 19, 2010
By Jim T
The ladle holds 8 oz. of liquid, not counting solids which may extend above the liquid level; 8 oz. is the maximum "walking to the table" capacity, without spilling, of our soup bowls and more than the typical 4 to 6 oz. kitchen ladle; easy for you or your guests to quickly manage the desired proportions of liquids and solids in each serving; I purchased three more of these ladles as gifts.

5love this ladleJan 25, 2011

I have not had it long but it washes up well
It is quite large and it is an effective straining ladle.
I recommend this ladle for your soups, pasta, etc.

4heavy ladleSep 15, 2011
By Rosemarie S. Parker
This is a good quality, heavy, stainless steel ladle. Actually, a bit heavy for my liking. Nice to have the strainer on one side, which I use a lot. The only drawback for me is I am left handed and this ladle is for right handed people and akward to use for 'lefties'. However, I manage, and it is a good, strong ladle and will no doubt last a lifetime.
