I prefer this type of measuring cup because the measurements are raised on the cup instead of written on it. That way, there is no writing on the cup to fade away from dishwasher use. I would have to hand wash all my other measuring cups so that the printing wouldn't fade away. Not having to hand wash my measuring cups is a big bonus and a time saver.

"Normal" measuring cups have printed on measurements that wear off after repeated dishwasher use. I purchased the embossed measuring cup so I could put it in the dishwasher. I didn't particulary care about the side pour spouts but after using the cup I find them very handy and wouldn't want to give them up.

I love the idea of this measuring cup-- the embossed markings (my old printed-on ones wore off), the three spouts, how easy it is to handle, but I compared the measurements to my Pyrex measuring cups, and they're significantly off. I'll have to compare other brands to find out which are accurate, but for now, I can't use this for anything where accuracy matters.

This is a great one cup measuring cup. Its Anchor Hocking! Heavy stout well built. The measurements are embedded into the cup. Dishwasher will not ruin this cup. I bought this cup for my wife and daughters. Arm the cooks with good equipment and you will not starve. I really want to find this cup in a TWO cup version. It is on the Anchor Hocking web site but no where to be purchased!!!!!! I looked hard! I would recommend this cup to everyone. I think the two cup version would be alittle bit more desirable.

This cup is not a cup but a measuring GLASS! I don't know how usable it is going to be since it is hard to see measurements when you have to hold the thing. It needs a handle.
