They cover your recipe card from splatters. What more can I say? Good stuff if you are an avid cook...or just a messy one. ;)

Perfect recipe card protection.Aug 01, 2010
By sallysue These sleeves are just right for protecting recipe cards. If you like to cut recipes from magazines or newspapers and glue them to index cards, often the glue stops holding after a period of time. The sleeves keep all the pieces together until you can reglue so that you don't lose any of the recipe. And of course they help keep your recipe cards clean. These fit 3x5 cards perfectly. The price is a good value. Vendor service (C.S. Household Products via Amazon) was prompt and the product as described.

great service and productOct 10, 2009
By D. Stanton I love having something to protect my cards and decided to use them for shower party favors with a colletion of favorite recipes from all the guests. They fit nicely on a 3x5 recipe card and can be reused if you decide you don't need that recipe after all.
Greater Description Needed For This ProductMay 11, 2012

I ordered 5 sets of these card covers and they arrived today. I'm sorry to say they are not quite what I was expecting. What I wanted (needed) are more heavy duty covers than these. These are very light weight, "plastic wrap" thickness and stability. They can easily crumple if the card (material) inside them is not sturdy itself. Placing a newspaper clipping as an example inside one of these bags results in a very flimsy file card. I think the word "Cover" should be replaced by the word "Bag" to provide the purchaser a better sense of the nature of the product. Had I known I was purchasing light weight bags rather than sturdy card jackets, I would not have placed the order. Unless you place a piece of stiff cardboard or very heavy duty paper behind your clipping the "Cover" itself will provide little protection from bending and crumpling.
Great hard to find product.May 03, 2012
By Bonnie These are the perfect size without having to cut or fold over the ends like some of the others, which to do would be a waste of my time. (The others that are too long take up extra room in the box if not cut.) Spend the little bit of extra money for these and save yourself time. They are sturdy and reasonably priced. I have used recipe covers since the 1970's when I purchased 200. They are gone/in use. My recipes are spot clean because they wipe off so easily with a damp cloth. I also put them over recipes that I give to friends and relatives. Be sure to buy several packages so you have them for this purpose. I purchased another set for the recipe box that I gave my Granddaughter. They are also great gifts for stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, bridal shower gifts, etc. Recipe card covers are impossible to find locally, even in a large market like Denver. Get them while you can. Can you tell that I am an avid user?
