I have baked several recipes with this pan (including brownies, muffins, teacakes and tartlets) and have been really pleased with the results. Everything baked evenly with a lovely golden crust and the crust to center ratio turned out to be perfect. Baked items were also easy to remove thanks to the removable bottoms & the non-stick surface. The volume of the cups is just right for individual servings but depending on the size of the recipe you might end up with some extra batter (but for instance a brownie recipe for a 8" square pan was just enough for this pan as well). Cleaning the pan was pretty easy and the bottoms proved to be surprisingly quick to clean (washing by hand).

The baked item was easy to remove and maintained it's ruffled edges. Cleaning the pan is very easy due to its non-stick surface. The volume of the cups is small so you may need two or three pans to bake a full batch of your recipe. All in all, this is a great pan to prepare baked goods or appetizers for sharing.

I have a small bakeshop and i could not believe how fast and easy i could make mini quiches and mini tarts with these pans!! The nonstick surface worked great and i am not a fan of nonstick!! i have 3 of these pans now and can't imagine being without them!!

This is a great pan and cleans up very easy, but after a few uses, the non-stick coating began coming off the metal inserts. The pan itself has shown no deterioration. I wash the pan in the dishwasher, and the individual pieces by hand. I have more than one of these pans and the same thing has happened with at least 40 percent of the pieces. If this pan were offered without a nonstick coating, I would repurchase it.
UPDATE: February 2012
I contacted Chicago Metallic and they sent me four replacement pan sets a few months ago along with instructions not to soak the individual pieces when washing them. I have followed their instructions and so far the nonstick coating is not coming off. When I was washing them before, I would let them soak in warm water with mild dish soap for no more than one hour. Now I am rinsing the baked on food off (it comes off easily), then I wash all the pieces, then rinse, and lay them on a towel and blot them dry. I use four pans at once so I am cleaning 48 individual pieces - a pain I know, but these pans allow a nice presentation for your baked goods and it's worth the effort. I own seven Chicago Metallic pans and will continue to add more as I need them. Chicago Metallic makes a high quality product and I can see a pan lasting 20 years, instead of three or four that a lessor quality pan would.
If I could change the number of stars that I rated this product, I would now up it to FOUR STARS. The only reason that I would not now give it five stars is due to the extra care/time that I have to take cleaning the individual inserts (I HATE handwashing dishes).

Keep track of those little metal squares!Nov 09, 2010

I must say, I'm really happy with this pan! I'm making corn bread for one of my kid's church groups and these little squares are the perfect size for small individual servings. I cut back cooking time on the first batch by 2 minutes and quickly discovered that I didn't need to adjust the time at all. While I'm sure it's all dishwasher safe, I would suggest that you hand wash everything and immediately pack the little squares in a ziplock bag. I've also kept the original box it came in so that I can keep everything together and protect the pan from "casual" use by one of the kids. A word of caution: I dropped one of the squares into the disposal and had a hard time finding it again as it fit flat against the bottom of the drain. Had I not found it, the next time I turned on the disposal would have surely destroyed it (if not the disposal too).
