A top notch, well designed panNov 07, 2007
By Tad Sargent I have used several different types of lasagna pans in our 36" Wolf gas oven, including metal, cast iron, glass, and ceramic. The Chicago Metallic - "Lot's of Lasagna Pan" pan is the absolute best. I was able to make a lasagna 3 noodle layers thick (8 total layers) with room to spare at the top. The lasagna pan heated up and cooked very evenly. The construction of the pan is heavy duty and the non stick aluminized surface on steel makes serving and cleanup a snap.
Another advantage of the non stick aluminized surface on steel is the lasagna or other meals can be made ahead of time and put in the fridge without fear of rusting or other interactions between the food and the pan.
I can already predict that this pan is going to be a great for baked Ziti, scalloped potatoes, cheesy potatoes, large cakes, and tamale pies.

Quality panJan 26, 2009

I am a huge fan of Chicago Metallic baking pans. I already own several, and this lasagna pan is the latest addition to my collection. I used it yesterday to make a lasagna for a church pot-luck. It easily holds the amount of lasagna prepared when using a one pound box of pasta. In fact, this may be the first time ever that my lasagna didn't run over the top of the pan and make a mess in the oven. I started baking at 25 degrees less than my recipe as the pan directions suggest, but found that at 325 degrees, the cheese wasn't browning, so I finished at 350 degrees. With the non-stick surface, I was worried that someone would try to cut the lasagna with a knife, but they were good and used the nylon spatula I brought along. Cleanup was an absolute breeze. This pan is a pleasure to use.

By R. Hanna My wife makes lasagna in this for parties... We can feed 9-10 people easy with tons of leftovers!
Built solid, cleans easy.
Could use some handles, gets a little heavy.

I ordered this roaster after the second disastrous spillover in my oven. I use a recipe for barbarcued ribs in the oven that we all absolutely love, but I have a large family and cook for 8-10 people everyday so I make a lot of ribs. I had to clean the oven twice and the first time, my whole house filled up with smoke. What a mess!!!! This pan is wonderful. It holds the ribs and cooks them without any boilover whatsoever. I also make lasagna and this pan fits that bill perfectly. No more boilovers there either. It is very easy to clean because of the nonstick surface, which was a must when I was shopping for pans. It is sturdy and I very highly recommend it if you need a large pan like I do.
