I've needed a replacement cuisinart bowl for a very long time. I finally got around to ordering this and could not be happier - it has made all the difference in the world. My cuisinart is 30 years old and the motor is still perfect - thought I'd have to replace the entire thing - but now that I've replaced the bowl I hope to have it another 30 years!

I have no issue with the color tint of the workbowl. As long as it fits, it can be pink, for all I care. I do have a BIG issue with the fit of this bowl, however. I cannot get it to ''seat properly'' without really forcing it. I've had it for a little over a month (therefore I'm outside the return window) but haven't had much of a chance to use it until now. As everyone who has one of these knows, all the parts have to synch for the motor to run. It feels like the base is not quite tall enough to sit onto the machine. When I try to twist it into place over the buttons, it doesn't rotate well and lifts a bit. I'm just waiting for the plastic to crack. Once I wrestle it into place, I really have to bang on the handle to get it to release, so using the bowl to slice, dice, or shred several different items for one recipe is a painful chore on my hands. Please, spend the money for a real Cuisinart bowl!! This saved me just a few dollars over the original, is a real pain to use, and will not last long given the stress on the plastic! I will contact the manufacturer directly, and will update as to their response.

This bowl was what I needed however, it is not "clear". It has a brownish tint to it and doesn't match the rest of the pieces that I have. It works great, I'll give it that, but I really wish that it was "clear" and not a brownish color.

The product was shipped and mailed well from an Amazon Marketplace vendor, Gourmet Kitchen Gallery.
The bowl looks to be an original Cuisinart 7 cup replacement and is a the gray color, not the brown/amber.
This bowl is a tight or firm fit on the base. That being so, I am being very careful and deliberate about clicking it into place gently until it is broken in and I assume at that point, it will slide off and on more smoothly.
The price was around $30 and this seems to be the going rate all over the internet with little exception that I could find.

I should have read the reviews before I ordered. The bowl is amber not clear as listed and pictured. However the buy it now store did give me a $10 refund because of this. The said they do not carry the clear, that Amazon has it listed incorrectly and they can't control what Amazon writes.
This info needs to be corrected.
Other than the color, it's the right bowl and works great.
