These are quality ,well made stainless steel shaker type salt and pepper shakers to have by your stove. They look nice on your counter or in the cupboard either way. Would purchase again.

Its not Stainless steel! Salt make the metal rust badly inside the shaker make it not usable.

I bought two sets of these about a year ago believing that stainless meant stainless. Today after many stuggles I used a Dremel tool to cut the top off and the top had rusted to the body and the inside was pitted with rust. Pepper shaker works great but stainless claim is probably technically correct but there is Very little nickel or chromium in that alloy.
