The strainer is a little larger and wider than I hoped for, good for traditional wide mouthed teacups but not the best for smaller mouthed mugs. Mostly, I was disappointed in the manufacture, the strainer part is bent in order to attach to the handles and the hammering here (on the back) was unfinished, unsightly, and not cleanly done. I worry it my rust in this area with continued use. Will let you know if it does.

I love this tea strainer! It is beautiful and does a great job at straining loose tea. It's very durable too.

My wife likes to brew her own coffee. This strainer perfectly filters small coffee particles. Very handy even for big coffee mugs.
