My aunt has a very old Feemster slicer. While visiting her, she handed it to us to use to slice potatoes. I saw that it was quite old but surprisingly very sharp. I wanted one. I looked for one on line but I didn't think I would find one because hers is more than fifty years old.
Much to my delight I found a brand new one here on Amazon.
My new Feemster Slicer is so sharp it will even slice home grown tomatoes. I heartily recommend it. Surviving the century is quite a manufacturing accomplishment.

I first used this little slicer about 20 years ago and loved it! I even bought one for several people in my family. I misplaced it when I moved to Montana, so I was really thrilled to find it again, so much so that I ordered two!

I tried this slicer and ended up throwing it away. It was so dull it wouldn't slice anything I tried--carrot, celery, cabbage, onion. Also, was dismayed to find that its use required three hands. The product information didn't include the fact that it is necessary to keep your thumb on a tab on the end of the platform in order to keep the blade stabilized. A totally useless product.
