 Colors great, but not too sturdyJun 26, 2008

I love floursack towels and the colors on these are stunning and don't run in the wash. However, one gentle wash cycle and the seams unravelled in several spots.
Pretty, but apparently not made to last. I'm no seamstress, but I assume they will continue to fray with washing. Oh, well.

I have loved flour sack towels for years since a friend introduced me to them. I love how they absorb every drop of water and leave no lint. I was thrilled to find this brand in a little kitchen store Canmore, AB, Canada. So I was doubly thrilled to find them on amazon. The colors are wonderful and they last. I've had mine 2 years and the colors are still vibrant.

These are just so beautiful. I can't believe I'm saying 'beautiful' about floursack towels, but they really are. I even use them for napkins sometimes. When the grandchildren are here, they get to pick their favorite color and they like to choose the color they think I should have too.
I toss them in the washer and dryer, never worrying about them. They look good. I never have to put them away to hide them because they aren't dingy or ugly as most dishtowels can be over time. I keep them on display because they are so pretty.
My favorite thing about them is the variety of colors available. I think I have all of them. They would make a great gift for someone who enjoys colorful things.
