Dish is as described. It is very heavy, takes a souffle collar easily bakes evenly and makes me happy that I purchased two of them. I would certainly purchase HIC products again. Items purchased through Amazon have yet to disappoint me.

I've been looking for one of these that doesn't cost an arm and a leg since my divorce. Finally! I'm pretty sure that it is a nice as the expensive one my wife kept, but my eyes are not what they used to be! :)

Made exactly as a souffle dish should be. Well glazed except on the bottom where it is not supposed to be anyway.

First of all, the dish is made well. It's nice and thick, heavy, has an unglazed bottom, and is smooth everywhere else. Seems to be of good construction. The only thing that bothered me was that the blue logo inked on the bottom of this dish smeared when I first washed it. Not really a big deal, but I'd rather have a sticker or a logo that doesn't smear. But maybe this was the idea, that it would wash off.
I made my first soufflé ever only a couple days after receiving this dish. It turned out superbly! The even heat through this dish made an even rise on my souffle. And cleaning up was very easy (partly thanks to all the butter greasing the dish, but also from the smooth inside).
This dish is excellent! I would buy more in a heartbeat, if I needed them.
