These spoons are just what I wantedMay 26, 2010

These are well made but inexpensive spoons of appropriate functionality. I use them for tall drink spoons but my most common usage is to dispense and spread mayonnaise or similar sandwich spread. Mayonnaise is a substance that could easily be used in a weapons lab somewhere as a medium for culturing biological weapons- ever notice how the taste and smell of mayo changes over time? These spoons are long enough to reach to the bottom of the jar without greasing up your fingers and allow you to standardize the amount taken which is then easily flipped cleanly off the spoon allowing you to scoop out more with a utensial that has not contacted anything outside the jar which WILL introduce bacteria. After dispensing the desired amount, the back of the spoon is remarkably effective at evenly spreading out the condiment before being taken to the sink for a wash. They work so much better (and biologically safer) than a knife.
