It took a bit of fidgeting to get the large suction cup to stick to a surface but there weren't any problems once it held. Don't expect that the spinner is something that clicks into place; it just loosely spins. That shouldn't be an issue though. The outer area is clear so if you stick it to a black surface then you'll have problems reading the clean/dirty indicator.

The dish spinner is a great tool to communicate the status of dishes. This model, although it looks great, does not stick very well. It tends to pop free after 10-15 minutes. I was able to solve the problem by gluing a thin magnet to the suction cup and now it holds perfectly.

I don't know why some people have said they have trouble with the suction cup. It's the same as any other suction cup and if you wet it a little before sticking it doesn't fall off. As long as your dishwasher is a non-porous surface, it should be fine. Mine has been on my dishwasher for over two years and it's never popped off. Someone also said it doesn't show up on a black surface and that's not accurate either. My dishwasher is black and the clean/dirty shows up fine. I love throwing this in with housewarming gifts when friends move into a new/first home so I usually keep several extras on hand.

i was really excited to find a dishwasher sign that would work on my stainless finish dishwasher. the suction cup works well to stick to the surface. the spinning plastic disk that has the "clean/dirty" portion is a bit flimsy, but all in all it gets the job done.
