Woefully InadequateNov 26, 2007

Design flaw - the blade guard is too deep - very small capacity - because of blade guard you can't fit a whole onion in the compartment, and it is extremely difficult to put back together with contents to be chopped.
Needs a redesign - buy the Kitchenaide one!

JunkMay 16, 2009
By Zen Lightening I bought this thinking a Swiss veggie chopper made by a Swiss company would actually be made in Switzerland, which equals great quality. Nothing on the manufacturer's website or on the seller's ad (eBay) said differently. I was chagrined to see a little 'made in China' sticker when I opened it. A few good things are made in China, this isn't one of them. I suppose, along with mostly cheap plastic, it is partly steel, something like a paper thin version of steel made from old cans or something. I tried a variety of veggies and each one came out mashed, not chopped. Cleaning it took longer than the mashing. I couldn't even bring myself to give it the Goodwill. The most disappointing purchase I have made in a while. Find something else.

Kuhn Rikon ChopperSep 17, 2009

My product arrived in great time and condition. This tool is wonderful and amazingly fast. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Similar tools can be obtained at a lot less money, but I have had great experience with Kuhn Rikon quality and I believe it is worth the money. One note is that the chopping is fast but if you need cosmetic uniformity or extra fine mince of things like garlic I still do it by hand.
