Top rate multi-purpose sheet!Apr 23, 2005
By KC As a serious cook, I look for tough uncoated surfaces that won't rust or require such ginger care. The pan is sturdy, priced right, fits perfectly in the oven without a rack and cleans up like a dream. NordicWare is great!
Whether roasting vegetables, roasting a turkey or baking sheets of brownies or cookies, it distributes heat evenly without burning and does a consistent job every time. No need for wooden or teflon utensils, you can use whatever you want, whenever you want. If you're looking for a non-stick surface, add parchment or a silpat that browns cookies evenly and lets you slide them right off.
I like this pan so much, I own 4 so I can rotate them and do a great amount of baking without waiting for the sheets to cool. It also ensures they stack nicely in the cabinet. The lid is a nice addition, making it convenient and secure to store cookies and brownies right on the sheet without removing them or worrying if the saran wrap or foil will slip off.
Bravo!

Great, but measurements misleadingFeb 12, 2006
By T. Su-Lyn These are fabulous, sturdy pans, but I had specifically bought them to fit Silpat sheets measuring 30 by 40cm. Based on the measurements provided, there should have been adequate space for the Silpat sheets to sit flat on the base. But the measurements provided are for the top (wider) section of the pan rather than the narrower base. Actual measurements for the base are 29cm by 42cm. Just too narrow for my Silpats, which is incredibly frustrating because thin cookies placed at the edges of the Silpat come out a little curled.

Wonderful, if you can get a lid thats not crackedNov 15, 2008
By azn123 I purchased two of these because I liked the idea of stacking them for storage and travel. I received one in perfect condition and one with a cracked lid. I sent the damaged one back and Amazon sent me another one with a cracked lid. This happened two more times until Amazon confessed the next one will probably be cracked too, so they issued me a refund. From where the lids were cracked and the way they were packaged (in paper), I suspect they were damaged in transit. This transaction was annoying and time consuming. I finally found another one in a local retail store. It does not appear that the lids are easily cracked, so I don't believe I'll have trouble in the future with broken lids unless I drop it when attached to the pan. I paid $3 more than the current selling price of $12 which only added to my annoyance with only 5 days between when I ordered and when the price changed. At $12 these are a very good value, if you can get one in good condition. The WearEver Commerical Bakeware Cooling Racks that are 16.5 x 11.5 x.75" fit perfectly inside this pan. I like to bake bacon instead of fry it, so this combo works great. Also the Silpat 11-5/8-by-16-1/2-Inch Nonstick Silicone Baking Mat is the correct size so that the edges lay flat in this half sheet. With these two accessories, these pans become extremely versatile. The bottom of the pan fits beautifully into the inside of the lid for super compact storage.

The Cookie Sheet Your Grandmother UsedDec 19, 2005
By mrs.c In my twenties I bought no less than three non-stick cookie sheets while my Grandmother (an avid baker) was still using her aluminum bakeware from the 40's. I later inherited a few of her aluminum pans and I couldn't believe the difference. My cookies were no longer crispy and brown on the outside and soft in the middle...they were baked evenly. I was also able to scub the sheet and place it in the dishwasher, something you can't do with non-stick varieties. Additionally, there is no danger of having teflon flake into your baked goods. Aluminum is tried and tested and provides professional results. Buy the right cookie sheet and buy it once! I have both the half and quarter sheets by Nordic. The lids make it easy to tote your baked goods to the office party too!

Transport TerrorMar 19, 2006
By C. Wiley I was always having terror attacks when I attempted to transport my Texas Sheet Cake to any gathering. Now I tote it in perfect shape and no Iceing Terror. It arrives in good shape and so do my nerves.
