5Easy to make, easy to clean, and they look professional!Feb 10, 2007

I bought the Nordicware Sweetheart Rose Muffin/Cake pan since I bake a lot of muffins and wanted a more "professional" appearance. Instead of boring, bland muffins, the Nordicware Sweetheart Rose pan makes 12 1/2 cup roses in intricate detail, including rosebuds and leaves. I use Baker's Joy to grease the pan before baking, and add a light dusting of confectioner's sugar to the finished muffins / cakes so as not to cover up the details. Cleaning is a snap: normally, there is no batter left in the pans, ever with all the nooks and crannies. The pan is also a good solid weight, something sorely missing in all those "made in China" knock-offs (Nordicware is still made in the USA). This is an easy, beautiful presentation for teacakes, muffins, and cupcakes that look like you bought them at a bakery.

4Excellent for bakingDec 21, 2005
By Hallie
I own the same brand in heart-shaped form, and I've been very pleased with the product. The muffins always turn out so well and unsticking them from the pan is effortless (which is more than I can say about several other brand tins out there). After baking with this pan I realize how nice it is not to be concerned with effectively removing the baked good and knowing that the product will look beautiful is also great.

The only downsides are the cost, heaviness, and the fact they're not very space-efficient-- only two of these can fit in a conventional oven and one better use both hands to remove the pan. Though $30 is a lot of money for something that bakes so few goods, it is well worth it based on its reliability and durability. As a person who baked 3 times a week, I got my money's worth.

5Quality Baking PanJan 13, 2007

Heavy pan that bakes evenly. The cupcakes I made looked beautiful. It was also a good value for a pan of this high quality.

5Why bake plain looking muffins?Oct 02, 2008
By M. Hill
This pan turns out gorgeous muffins. Life is short, why not inject a little beauty whenever possible? I own a number of the Nordic Ware brand bundt pans, and this is one of my favorites. The pan may seem a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I have replaced so many thin muffin pans over the years I have lost count. With a little care, like not using metal utensils or scouring pads on the pan, it should last a lifetime -- and it creates a distinctive looking muffin. These are great for bake sales, holiday gifts and look wonderful on any party buffet table. I, as other reviewers, use Baker's Joy (a cooking spray that includes flour -- plain cooking sprays do not accomplish the same result.) I liberally spray and then turn the pan upside down and let it drain on paper towels while I am preparing the batter. Since light colored muffins show up more of the detail one of my favorite recipes for the pan is blueberry muffins. Just be sure you use small pieces of blueberry (dried blueberries work well) but even plain muffins with mini chocolate chips (they don't sink to the bottom like full size chips), finely chopped nuts (again, so they don't sink to the bottom) or poppy seeds are wonderful additions.

4Great pan for a very good priceApr 26, 2009
By Jessica L. Hays "jhaysfl"
I bought this pan to make mini rose-shaped pound cakes for a baby shower. It's a great buy! The cakes came out beautifully and this pan costs a fraction of what it sells for in the gourmet kitchen stores. Make sure you use "Baker's Joy" spray so that the cakes/muffins will not stick.
