5Another successDec 15, 2003
By C. Bixel "bixel4"
Another wonderful bundt pan by Nordic Ware. They have mastered the bundt pan market. I have several pans and all, including this one, bake evenly. Best of all they turn out of the pan in one piece with such detail. They look beautiful, there is really no special trick to get the cakes to unmold so nicely, but I have found that if I butter and flour the pan, then let the cake cool for twenty minutes before unmolding they come out great every time. You will only need a little powered sugar for decoration. I also recommend the star bundt by Nordic ware. It is perhaps a more stricking design than this pan, but, use both for variety.

5Perfect everytime!Dec 26, 2002

When you bake with the Bavaria pan, you can be sure that the finished product is consistent in shape everytime. The pan bakes evenly and there is a crispness of form when the cake is unmolded.

5Lifetime ItemFeb 19, 2003

As with other bundt pans I rated, these are all the same except for the design. Heavy duty, impressive mass, and a good price will make this something to pass down. If you like a certain design then grab it. Nordic ware does retire it designs.

3Hard to cleanNov 15, 2008

I own four Bundt pans, and this is my least favorite. Even though it has the same capacity as two of my other pans (10 cups), the cakes from this pan look smaller and more compact. The detail on the cake is lovely, but the pan is a pain in the neck to clean. The narrowness of the ridges trap cake crumb, Baker's Joy, non-stick spray, and flour - I have not been able to break the code of cleaning this pan easily. My other pans make just as pretty a cake, and do not leave me with any cleaning headaches.

5Create a lovely birthday cake with this panSep 23, 2007
By Kathlyn Storey "Kathlyn A Storey"
I have no talent for making a double layer cake for birthdays. For years I have resorted to making bundt cakes instead because you get the height plus a moist cake that can be frosted or not as you choose. I used Nordic Ware's cheap, thin metal bundt pans for years because I couldn't bring myself to spend $30 for the heavy cast aluminum pans, reasoning that there really couldn't be that much difference between my cheap pans and this one. About a year ago Amazon ran this pan for around $18 with super saver shipping, so I bought it. There truly is a difference in the way my cakes bake in this pan. They come out higher, evener, and moister. The cake will release perfectly; I use the spray combination of flour and oil together, spraying lightly throughout the pan before adding the batter.
