could be betterSep 01, 2010 I really like the sink liner, except it floats and doesn't have an opening for the plug.

Improvement over flat sink matsJul 21, 2010 I saw this sink mat on Amazon. I was disgusted with my Rubbermaid sink mats, which now featured Microban coating and that meant that any tomato products left orange stains which absolutely would not come out no matter what cleaning product I tried on them. It took a while for me to get used to lifting this mat to put the drain stopper in, but I liked the fact that the mat is raised, allowing food debris to be flushed away. I bought the large size, but it could actually be a couple inches longer and wider also, OXO are you listening? I see from reading cutomer comments that my complaint isn't unusual; that sink manufacturers make sinks in odd sizes and then the consumer can't find sink mats or sink drainers to fit them. That is my problem, I can't find accessories to fit the sinks.
At any rate, I liked this mat enough to buy another one for the laundry room sink. I won't go back to using flat sink mats as long as I can find this type of sink mat as it works fine.

Warning!Jul 19, 2010 Warning! This sink mat has hard plastic "feet" which severly damaged the entire bottom of a $300.00 black sink. Additionally, it floats so the utensils you are trying to protect the sink from, get under the mat and scratch it even more. It is a non-flexible plastic and so it is very difficult to get your hand to the drain to release the water. The is a horrible and damaging product.

Moldy matJul 15, 2010 I really wanted to like this mat. It's very sturdy and protective. But within a few weeks it began to mold, despite my cleaning the sink and the mat at the end of each day. Nothing I tried would remove the mold. In the end, I had to throw it away.

Good mat, not sure about the longevity though.May 27, 2010 I bought both the large and small mats to go in our new kitchen sink. While the large one (barely) fits, the small one does not; the sink in Thicket's picture must be pretty big! Anyway, the large mat looks nice and keeps the bottom of the (stainless steel) sink from getting scratched up. The only thing is that it's not very rigid - we've only had it a week and the middle is bowed in already. Maybe it's the weight of the dishes we've had on top of it, or maybe the hot water is softening the plastic. On the plus side, there doesn't seem to be any mold buildup, which was a concern I had before buying it.
