Even though this pizza cutter is essentially hard plastic, it has no problem cutting through crispy pizza. I really only like medium to thin crust so I can't comment on deep dish but due to its large diameter I'm sure it would work well. Plus, there are no marks on our calphalon pans!

Really a great piece, BUT DON'T USE in a regular pan, and be carefull, it makes a mark in non-stick pans, but it's amazing when the cheese doesn't runaway from the pizza!!

This is an awesome pizza cutter. Not only is it non-stick, you can cut pizza straight out of the oven without waiting for it to cool. It's perfect if you have impatient kids. You can even cut the pizza into little bites straight on their plastic plate without making a mess of the pizza or scratching the plate. Of course, it's a must if you have non-stick pizza pans too.

This is exactly what you need for homemade pizza on non stick pans. I make my crust from scratch so not sure what it's like on pre-made crusts or frozen pizzas. I have two thin crust pizza crisper type pans, the ones with the holes in them, and a deep dish pan, it's actually a paella pan as I couldn't find one big enough, and all are non stick. This pizza cutter cuts right through the crust, with no more force than a steel cutter, and none of the cheese or ingredients stick to the wheel so no scrubbing needed to clean it. This thing does its job.
