I ordered this whisk because most of the others i've had hurt my hands. I.e. they often had some sharp-ish edge near the end of the handle (sometimes a protrusion for hanging up) but even a slight shart edge can hurt when beating something hard. (another one without a sharp edge was an expensive silicone covered one, but the silicone prematurely started coming off the "tines") This whisk is fairly compact - it's not a huge balloon whisk, but it always does the job and doesn't take much room in the draw.

This whisk is just wonderful. It's perfect for fluffing or beating pretty much anything in your kitchen. The contoured handle is quite comfortable and the whisk is flexible but still strong and durable. I would definitely recommend this whisk to anyone.

Well, this whisk appears to be very well made. It has a great stainless steel ergonomic handle design that rounds to the end. This allows you to hold the whisk with the bottom comfortably centered in your palm, unlike many whisks that have a loop at the end. The weight of the whisk is remarkably light and about the same weight as the rubber Oxo whisk. This makes jobs that require lengthy whisking a much easier task. There are 10 tines in the whisk which is about 3 more than other whisks, i.e. Rosle and All-Clad, giving it substantial whipping power. It is slightly longer than the rubber Oxo whisk. However, the tines are more flexible than those used in the rubber Oxo, Rosle and All-Clad whisks. I'm not quite sure why they designed it this way since a stiffer whisk makes more sense and they already use stiff tines for the rubber handled version. The additional flexibility may not be that significant though but I'm deducting a star for it and the fact that top tine extends out too far on mine. It's still a near-perfect design.

Leave it to Oxo to invade the stainless steel market. I am not a fan of their rubber handles. They get sticky after a while and flour, etc. gets stuck in the cracks. This beauty works great and the handle is superb!!! I have all sizes now. I have never seen these in the stores and I always check for new improved gadgets. Don't hesitate to try this great little gem.

Finally, a whisk that doesn't cut into the palm of my hand. The rounded top is comfortable and the shape of the handle is just right for my small to medium sized hand. I have joint pain and find other whisks hurt my hand, but not this one. I like it so well that I ordered it in the smaller 9 inch size, too.
Another plus to me is that it seems to be sealed very well so that water does not get caught up in the handle. Other whisks I've owned dropped water drips into my food as I was beating with them. Yick! This one does not drip anything. Much more sanitary :)
