best brush yetSep 11, 2009
By Theodore L. Wasserman I'm a kitchen tool fanatic this brush is close to perfect for cleaning pans and dishes the bristles are reasonably stiff and there is a good concentration of them. I'm buying a few extra! well designed brushes are hard to find on store shelves. Most brushes are pretty poorly designed and generally form does not follow function and the game is to make them cheap and flashy!

Works greatAug 23, 2010
By slw I've had this brush for a few months and am very pleased with it. It's stiff enough to stand up to fairly stuck-on crud after I've fried food a little too heartily in my cast-iron skillet, but soft enough that it doesn't scratch non-stick surfaces. The angle of the brush head is good, as is the handle's feel in my hands. I permanently bent some bristles when trying to scrub my cast-iron skillet using freshly-boiled water, but otherwise they seem to be standing up well to punishment, compared to other brushes whose bristles will give up the ghost and fold over after no more than a week or two. If and when it wears out, I expect I'll buy another one to replace it.

Great for Cast IronApr 08, 2011
By Megan Ellinger I have a large collection of cast iron cookware and this is, by far, the best brush to really scrub it down with. The bristles are firm enough to get the gunk out of my cast iron grill pan (with the help of a little kosher salt) which is the always the worst piece of cookware to clean.
The brush is easy to clean (I put mine through the dishwasher) and I like that it looks great with my stainless steel appliances.

Flimsy Bristles, Sturdy HandleFeb 11, 2012
By Kathryn Scanlon I was very disappointed with this product from a company that I have come to respect for good product design. Yes, the stainless steel handle is ergonomic, sleek, stylish, and sturdy. But, the bristles are hardly strong enough to warrant such engineering. They fold and mash under moderate pressure. After only a couple months of use, I am left with a flattened and mangled mass of bristles. Forget cleaning dishes with it. The brush itself now needs special cleaning because it traps food particles in the head. The bristles are discolored and grungy. Even running it through the dishwasher doesn't seem to help.
The reason I bought this was because I had another OXO dish brush that served my very well for years. It looked almost identical to this one, but was all white plastic, including the bristles. It didn't have these flimsy clear bristles. Perhaps OXO changed them to be gentler on non-stick surfaces, but what they ended up with is something that is all but disposable.

very pleased!May 10, 2011
By hdlmommy i was beginning to get really frustrated with the dish brushes that hold soap.. as they tend to leak the soap instead of actually holding and using the soap.. also the head of the brushes kept falling off. this is the PERFECT remedy to those two problems. i am really really pleased with this. i bought two for when the first wears out, but don't see that happening any time soon. very durable. also, the ability to put in the dishwasher top shelf allows me to keep the brush very clean..
