The sticky suction cup works really well. I bought it for the fridge in our camper so that I woudl know when it was up to temp. Very helpful.

I have two of these for the refrigerator and freezer sections. I put them up at eye level so I always see them when I open the door. The blue ranges make it clear when the refrigerator or freezer is operating too cold or warm.
Suction cups are always a problem with this kind of thing, but I've had mine for over two years and they've only fallen off a couple of times. So, this wasn't an issue for me. If you're having trouble, try adding a very small amount of cooking oil to the suction side. That will keep it "wet" in a way that won't dry out.
Recently my refrigerator stopped working, and I was able to spot the problem early and save a large amount of food by moving it to a cooler with ice.

The OXO Good Grips thermometers are easy to read, however, I have found the suction cup does not always hold the thermometer to the vertical surface in the refrigerator and especially not in the freezer.
