This pastry board is a very heavy slab of marble, great size, thick, perfect for rolling out pies or making candy. My only small quibble is the glue on the feet ran and they didn't wipe it clean, but who sees the bottom anyway?
Great price for a nice kitchen asset.

I bought this on July 11, 2010. It's now May 3, 2012.
After almost two years it has held up so well. It isn't cracked except for a tiny chip on the edge when my husband hit the granite counter top with it. I have used this so many times, it's perfect for bread kneading, candy making etc. I haven't regretted buying this ever, and it looks as clean and new as the day I bought it.
I am careful with it, but not obsessively so. I cut biscuits, and donuts, using regular cutters, use a bench scraper on it. I don't use sharp knives. It cleans up easily, is attractive enough to leave out on the counter, and is a great bargain for anyone wanting a heavy marble board.

I think the Bakers board is really nice. However, if you order, buyers beware, the packers don't pack nearly how it should and the boxes on both have been torn open while in transit. the first board was broken when I got it. If they'd add a little more sturday cardboard and tighter packing material, they'd save themselves some money from returns. Product is sturday and good, its just a matter of whether they can get it to you in one piece.

This pastry board is excellent. It is so heavy duty and sturdy. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It works great for rolling out cookie dough and has nice feet on the bottom. I added four little non-slip pads to the bottom feet and it doesn't move at all now. LOVE LOVE LOVE this board.
