This lid changed my life!Nov 17, 2008
By northie_66 Let me start out by saying, I don't keep 2 lids of the same size just because one is glass and came with the pot and the other is stainless. I hate messing with lids. I pick which one of one size I want to keep and that's it. Frankly I'm not a big fan of the glass ones... they are heavy and if I want to see what I'm cooking I can always lift the lid. So when I went to choose a universal lid, glass wasn't an option for me. I have this lid rack:
http://www.amazon.com/Loroman-411C-Cookware-Rack-22x6/dp/B0000V0AXQ/ref=pd_bbs_sr_10?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1226964523&sr=8-10
And it stores about 7-10 lids for me. But in the year or more since I bought my universal lid, I have never taken a lid out of this rack to use. In fact, I'm thinking about offloading all my lids and putting cutting boards and other stuff in the lid storage.
My universal buddy is always within reach of the stove. I've put this bad boy in the dishwasher too and it's come out great. Usually I hand wash it though because I don't want to wait for it.
I'm always tempted to buy another one in fear that something would happen to universal buddy. But that would defeat the purpose of having a universal lid now wouldn't it. Get this lid... you won't regret it.

Works greatJan 03, 2007
By J. K. Carr For a generic reasonable price, it does the job of covering all those different sizes of fry pans that come without a lid. It is used almost every day.

Great multi-taskerJul 13, 2007
By Nicklaus A. Pink The only problem I've encounter is that it won't fit on some of my smaller pans that have an upward tilted handle. But this is problem just because the pan is poorly designed.

Perfect for My NeedsJun 21, 2008
By CarolynCAG This lid is great, and fits all my frying pans which came without lids. I like that it has a steam vent, which can be closed or opened as you see fit. Everybody should have a universal lid, and this one, being stainless, is easy to clean and would meet your needs in every way.

One Big Problem: SKIMPY DiameterAug 06, 2008
By Beckley Guy
"Khoa"
This lid is well constructed, nice heavy stainless steel and heavy duty riveted handle but it has ONE BIG ANNOYANCE: It is skimpy in diameter. I have a 12 inch skillet and this lid just isnt large enough diameter to cover it nicely. Sure, it lines up exactly at 12 inches, but dont vibrate your skillet or the lip tips off. Too bad the company didnt make it 3/8 inch more diameter with a down-turned lip to keep it secure on your pot or fry pan. If you are buying this for a 12 inch utensil, look elsewhere because this just wont be satisfactory.
