Description:

The William Bounds, LTD Diner stainless steel brush top mill set is 6 Inches tall, with clear acrylic stainless steel brushed tops. The William Bounds milling mechanism (the grinder) works in a way that crushes rather than grinds the peppercorns. As a result, the mechanism will never jam or freeze up, and because metal is not grinding on metal ¿ as with other mills ¿ the William Bounds mechanism will never wear out. That's why we guarantee it for a lifetime!

4Cool, but not the bestJan 14, 2008
By Textile Woman (whooosh)
I love the classy diner look of this set, and the weight and "hand feel" of each grinder is pleasant. The one negative is that salt comes out fairly coarse; the adjustment knob doesn't make a measurable difference in the size of the grains. The pepper grinder is just fine. I DO like the "crunching" mechanism vs. the standard "grinding" of other sets.

2Where's the Pepper???Mar 05, 2009
By Patricia J. Tennies "PJ"
I bought these thinking that crushing the salt and pepper made more sense than grinding it. I have always had trouble with salt grinders. I thought this set had finally solved my problem. The salt grinder (crusher) works great. Crushes the salt fine and evenly distributes it. The pepper grinder (crusher), however, hardly works at all. It would take forever to dispense enough pepper at the table. Using it for preparation of food was impossible. Crushing pepper does not work - only salt. Hey William Bounds - how about a salt crusher and pepper grinder???
