It quickly grinds showers of fresh pepper at just the push of a button, without tiring hands. One thing to note about this grinder is that the motor and batteries are positioned at its top, which makes it a little top-heavy. It's best to keep it in the kitchen, letting it do what it does best: grind large quantities of pepper. William Bounds, a 30-year-old company, prides itself on never having had to replace a grinding mechanism because of wear, so count on this gadget lasting a while. --Maria Dolan | | | Features: | |

Best Mill EverAug 29, 2001
By John (Update: after several years or so, this mill fell apart. So did the one we purchased as a gift from our next door neighbor. So, we're still looking for a good electric mill...)
If you have never used an electric mill before, you are in for a treat if you purchase one. You will be surprised how much you will enjoy using only one hand and pressing a button. And, for a pepper lover like me, you save time, energy, and will avoid people staring at you grinding away... I bought several electric mills recently. This mill is far superior to the others I purchased. The design and construction are great...

The Outstanding William Bounds Stainless-Steel Electric Pepper MillJan 12, 2008
By J. P. Sandlin It's hard to imagine that a product could be so handy in the kitchen. Freshly ground pepper brings out so much in the flavor of food and with the touch of a button, you have it. This Pepper Mill is a good quality machine that is easy to use and even has a handy light built in for the low light occasions. The William Bounds Stainless-Steel Electric Pepper Mill is an outstanding Pepper Mill for the money. You could spend a lot less and be frustrated with a lesser machine or you could spend a lot more and not really have anything better. The size and ease of use makes this Pepper Mill a great value.

...I find myself wishing that foodstuffs which don't require pepper actually did! This is a joyous, fun, clever and practical item. I was so impressed I now have one for coarse sea salt and one for blending spices like nutmeg peices and cloves, for baking. You really will wonder why you did all that grinding!
A spare mill would also take a lot of the old "mortar and pestle" work away! One recommendation I would make which is practical and eco friendly, invest in some rechargable batteries and a charging unit, to power your mill/s.
