Horrible Taste!Jan 26, 2010
By Hobbyist Wilton fondant is easy to roll out, but the taste is disgusting! At first it seems okay, but the after taste will ruin any cake you serve. I highly recommend making your own fondant using Wilton glucose and glycerin. The following link contains a recipe and directions: [...].

Great for learning and decorations, not for covering entire cakeJan 04, 2011
By GRM I think this is great if it take it for what it is, boxed fondant. The consistency is great for learning, and it holds well for making decorations. I would not use it to cover an entire cake. I think home made marshmallow fondant is the best for that (better than other brands advertised by celebrity bakers). I disagree everyone that says it tastes horrible, although I have only tasted a small piece. It takes like what it is, sugar.

I love it!Jan 25, 2011

I was so scared to buy this because other reviews had said it tasted terrible, but I really wanted to try working with fondant and I don't have the time to make my own, So I went out on a limb and bought this and I'm very happy I did. Not only did my first ever fondant cake look amazing, it was super easy to use (my only fondant tools were my plastic cutting board, my standard rolling pin and a pizza cutter)and the taste of the fondant wasn't bad at all. I'm sure if you make homemade fondant it would taste better (as all homemade things do) but if you don't have the time this is an excellent product! I will buy again!
Excellent for Practice, NOT for ApplicationMar 31, 2012
By R. Wernlund I ordered this on a whim and was very disappointed with the product AT FIRST. The taste was terrible, the smell was just as bad and the texture was off. But after I started monkeying around with it, I figured this product is excellent for cake models, decor or practice. I would not present this to anyone looking to eat the cake unless they're instructed to peel the fondant off. So with that, I'd say this product is perfect if you're looking to get a little experience with molding, covering or draping fondant.
LOVe thisMar 17, 2012
By JJ Love this stuff! I know most people have an issue with the taste of this product, but it doesn't bother me at all. I personally like the flavor. And always make sure to put a nice layer of icing under it that way people can choose not whether or not to eat it. Makes the cakes look fabulous. It is so easy to use. You could always make your own which is great too, but this is a great time saver. My only negative comment would be the price. i usually buy mine from Michael's with a 40 or 50% off coupon which makes it considerably cheaper.
