The wife is happy!Aug 16, 2010 This sharpener works well. It is a good design, well thought out, and does what it says it will do. The rubber feet keep it firmly in place and the handle allows you to hold it firmly. I have tried a few different styles and like this one the best.

this is an absolute must for Wusthof ownersJul 01, 2010 this is an absolute must for Wusthof owners. it is set at the perfect angle specifically for Wusthof blades and works great an maintaining the knifes edge over long periods of use. just a few quick swipes before each use and you can go years with out having to have your blades sharpened.
Handy knife sharpenerMar 16, 2010 Great knife sharpener, used it on our knives and seemed to do a good job of putting nice edge on all our blades

Works as advertisedFeb 02, 2010 This product works as described/advertised. My santoku is kept sharp by using the honing side. I never use the sharpening side.
Four stars because the construction is more cheap plastic.

didn't work for meNov 24, 2009 Maybe it was because my knives were fairly sharp to begin with and had a narrow angle, some smaller than the 17° of this sharpener.
But many of them seemed less sharp after running through the fine stones. I used cutting through a folded tabloid newspaper as my measure of sharpness.
I ran some knives through both slots but, at best, they never showed much improvement in sharpness. I went back to using my Edgemaker Pro.
I'm a knife sharpener junkie so will also be trying the Chefs choice 463 pull through soon.
